Camryn Hughes.

Sunny Sports would like to introduce our first coach and one of our business owners.

Camryn is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast and will complete her last year next year. She works at Suncoast Christian College as a sport coach and a relief teacher aide!

Camryn fell in love with basketball at a young age and has been playing for over 13 years. She has represented our state at many Queensland and National titles and has won many championships. Being a high level player, she has a plethora of experience and knowledge to bring as a coach. She has a passion for working with kids and loves teaching everything she knows about basketball to young athletes.

Shane Truscott.

Sunny Sports would like to introduce our second coach and our other business owner, Shane Truscott.

Shane is the Head Coach of Suncoast Christian Colleges Basketball Programs. He has been with the school for thirteen years in the head coach role and has had many successes. One being the winning of Champion School at the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Basketball.

Shane has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Queensland and has played and coached Rugby League, Volleyball and Basketball. Shane has Captain Coached UQ Gatton Campus to a Volleyball Grand Final at the Uni Games and has a national Senior Boys Title and several Silver and Bronze Medals from his Nine years coaching State Christian School Basketball teams.

Shane has also coached Juniors for the Clippers Basketball Club and won an under fourteen Southern cup and State Silver at the Basketball Queensland State Titles.

Shane has served as President of the Clippers Basketball Association for Seven years and recently retired from the position General Manger of the Association where he was responsible for all operations including basketball fixtures played by 750 members weekly.

Shane is currently a Director of the Sunshine Coast Phoenix Basketball Association and chairs the State League Committee preparing for the organisation 2020 National Basketball League One campaign.
